Working Holiday Maker cap increases for Spain, Peru and Israel

Ole, ole, and mazel tov!

This year is starting off with a bang for the backpacker sector, with the announcement of an increase in the number of Working Holiday Makers who can come to Australia from Spain, Peru and Israel.

From 28 December 2018, the number of places available to Spanish nationals under the Work and Holiday program (visa subclass 462) has increased from 1,500 per year to 3,400.

The number of places available to Peruvians under the 462 visa increased from 100 to 1,500 from 2 January 2019.

More Israelis can also avail of the 462 visa from 28 December 2018, increasing from 500 per year to 2,500.

That’s 5,300 more young people from these three countries hopefully booking their tickets to Oz right now!

And in more good news, the Government is currently in discussions with a further 10 countries for cap increases… so watch this space.
