The Byte launched in Sydney last week at ATEC’s youth tourism conference. will be your website for news, interviews, statistics and press releases for Australia and New Zealand’s backpacker and youth tourism sector. Staff of The Byte sit on the panels and  committees of a number of industry associations and have great links with national, regional and state organisations for the most up-to-date information. All content will be shared through our social channels and a weekly ‘Byte sized’ newsletter. ‘The Byte’ will also host industry relevant jobs, events and services while allowing our readers the chance to comment, discuss and share our content with a wider audience.

Feel free to have a play, comment and share – as we rely on feedback from our readers to ensure the site is the industry website for now and years to come.

We are  welcoming your press releases, in case you’d like to shout from the rooftops about your business, team or organisation? Or perhaps you’d like to see a study, research or opinion piece of yours published on the site? Press, feedback and opinion pieces can be sent to for review.
