The Federal Government has increased the Export Market Development Grant (EMDG) by $50m over four years. Businesses wishing to export or market overseas will benefit from this. Recent changes include the following:
Increasing the number of grants from seven to eight.
Decreasing the minimum eligible expenses threshold from $20 000 to $15 000.
The grant will be 50% of the net expenses after an initial $5000 is reached.
Expenses include advertising, web design, business cards, brochure distribution, marketing trips, sales agents and much more.
If your business is ‘export ready’ and you are not using the EMDG to grow, contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.
