Australian Backpacking Podcast

June 8th, 2015 | | industry

ABP liveMatt McLeod has over six years experience in the backpacking sector and spent all that time meeting and helping backpackers. But he also wanted to give backpackers a simple way to access honest and valuable content online. So he dreamed up something new for this sector: PODCASTING.

His podcasts are not only full of amazing content but are exciting audio interviews. He aims to build a backpacking community like no other, creating the Australian Backpacking Podcast Community Group and as the group grows Matt will introduce meet-ups, webinars, memberships and much more.

The idea of the group is to get everyone involved in this community and build an all-in-one platform to share, learn and help backpackers make their trip to Australia the most memorable experience of their lifetime.

Matt’s most recent interview/podcast was with Neil Geddes from Loka Travel. Neil is passionate about providing authentic and unique local experiences to travellers. Together, Matt and Neil discuss sustainable tourism, why backpackers should consider getting off the coast and why the best experiences are often the simple ones.

Matt has also recently interviewed:

  • Chris Harrison, The Byte & THE WORD
  • Rachel Hickman, Dropbear Adventures
  • Joel Walton, Cape Byron YHA
and Aaron Tolley, Dolphin Marine Magic
